Electronic Press Kit: Deborah Wedekind

Deborah Wedekind, or DEDE, (pronounced: DEE DEE Wee-dee-kind) is a singer/songwriter from Texas, who has an incredibly smooth voice & unique ability to arrange and write music with beautiful melodies and uplifting lyrics. Her song, Psalm on Danny Boy, recently charted at #11 across the US RADIO CHARTS.

From Jason Miles, Grammy Nominated Producer & Grammy Winner: “A wonderful performance…Deborah knows how to take an Iconic song and turn it into her own- She’s a talent that needs to be watched. There could be big things in store for her in the future…Deborah Wedekind is an absolutely superb vocalist who...can definitely be a vital part of the music scene for many years. A superb talent!"

Deborah lives in Kingwood, and won a Singer Universe.com February 2012 National Top 5 Vocalist Award for her original song, Psalm on Danny Boy, as well as Honorable Mention for Song of the YEAR 2012. She also won a national Singer Universe Top 5 Vocalist spot in January 2012 for her original arrangement of I Dreamed a Dream.

Her producer, Troy Warren, ranks Deborah’s CD, Clear Skies Ahead, as his “top project in over 30 years of working in sound production”. Here's what This is Kingwood has to say about her:
“…Deborah could and probably should be lumped in more with classic artists like Astrud Gilberto (Girl from Impanema), Peggy Lee, Rosemary Clooney and Lena Horne. She’s that good. Her silky smooth voice is…fresh while exhibiting an experience one can only gain from being, well, that good. If you get a chance to check out one of her performances, do yourself a favor and make the effort, you’ll be glad you did.”

Psalm on Danny Boy is currently charting at #1 in World Music on Broadjam.com. Deborah’s original sexy-Latin arrangement of the classic, Till There Was You, reached #1 on the Top 10 Latin Jazz chart worldwide on Broadjam.com, and is also on the JAZZ TOP 10 CHART. Many of her songs currently are also charting in the TOP 10 WORLD for vocal production, jazz, blues, etc. right now.

DEDE “hears the music” in her head, and feels that writing songs and arranging them, along with performing, are her life’s calling now: a divine gift she's grateful for. She wrote or arranged all the songs for Clear Skies Ahead, and is currently working in Nashville recording original songs for her next CD.

Tom Westgard threatens to sue Rogers Park in 1,000 Words for runoff election prediction

Tom Westgard threatens to sue Rogers Park in 1,000 Words for runoff election prediction

Former attorney Thomas J. Westgard contacted Rogers Park in 1,000 Words early this morning with the threat of a lawsuit because of a public election prediction that did not favor longtime 49th Ward incumbent alderman Joseph A. Moore.

A copy of the twitter.com link to prediction is as follows:

RogersPark1000 Rogers Park
Bold #49thWard #Alderman #race #prediction from #RogersPark in 1,000 Words http://rp1000.blogspot.com/2011/02/my-49th-ward-prediction.html

Westgard, recently being linked to the James Ginderske aldermanic campaign-fold-for Alderman Joe Moore, stated that "Rogers Park in 1,000 Words is a participant of a growing effort to overthrow Alderman Joe Moore in the coming 2011 Aldermanic election".

Additionally linked to the former The Urban Coaster newspaper with James Ginderske, Westgard's Mountain of Evidence blog has also been utilized in a pro-Moore fashion, bashing those whom are not under the direct control or direction of the incumbent 49th Ward alderman, including the former Don Gordon aldermanic campaign, the current Brian White aldermanic campaign, the current Blane Roberts aldermanic write-in campaign, the Rogers Park Chamber of Commerce (note: not the Rogers Park Business Alliance), Lorraine Swanson's Lake Effect News and members of the Park Advisory Councils (located North of Howard Street).

Bill Morton of Rogers Park in 1,000 Words stated that " rather than just a prediction of a run-off in the upcoming 2011 election... After all of these threats and injustices, I am now dedicated to making the run-off a reality. Someone has to take a stand for the our community, and apparently my bold prediction for a 2011 run-off election was not enough".
